Summary: HB 2410 prohibits municipalities, police departments, boards of supervisors, sheriffs, and DPS from implementing or establishing a traffic complaint quota for peace officers employed by a police department, sheriff's department or DPS; basing the determination of an officer's rank or classification on the number of traffic complaints the officer issues; or, considering the number of traffic complaints an officer issues as a factor when determining the officer's rank or classification.
