Summary: HB 2337 makes numerous changes to the statutes regarding liquor licensing including changes to board composition, public input at Board hearings, revises the definition and process for acquisition of control, and a host of other issues.

League Position: NEUTRAL - After receiving input from our members the League requested changes to the bill to address concerns that were raised. Those changes were included in a committee amendment that was adopted unanimously and the League took a neutral position on the bill.


1/31/2017: HB2337 passed out of House Commerce by a vote of 9-0. The bill now proceeds to the Rules Committee.

2/13/2017: HB2337 passed the House COW.

2/13/2017: HB2337 passed the House Third Read by a vote of 48-11-1. The bill was transmitted to the Senate.

3/13/2017: HB2337 passed out of Senate Commerce and Public Safety by a vote of 6-1-1. The bill proceeds to the Rules Committee.

3/30/2017: HB2337 passed the Senate COW.
